Marisa Green
Marisa Green is a mixed media artist, primarily working in cut paper. Her artwork explores mathematics, connections, and meditation through the use of geometric shapes, patterns, and the art of physical repetition.
Green values the subtle wabi-sabi hand-made mark of the maker to balance the perfection of graphic elements. Exploring the introspective quality of smaller intricate cuts, as well as the construction of large scale time-intensive, suspended installation work.
These forms, inspired by nature’s exquisite precision, represent the fragility and impermanence associated with the natural world. Through focus and contemplation, her work connects us to a shared awareness of boundless unity.
